Tripoli-Colorado past events
After two failed attempts in April, we finally held our first launch of the year this past Sunday, May 18, at our Hartsel launch site. The weather was even nicer than the forecast had predicted; at least it was when the waiver opened at 9:00am. By 11:00am or so, the wind had picked up to its normal level.
We logged a total of ten flights, including one K and one L motor. See the complete launch log below.
Many thanks to all the folks who attended our anual all Colorado Rocketry Banquet-it was a big sucess and everyone had a great time.
Our first launch of the year will be on April 19th (weather permitting). Please dress appropriately for Colorado spring weather at 8,800 feet and don’t forget sunscreen and water. Our standing wavier is up to 7,000 ft. AGL but our waiver can be extended to 14, 200 ft. AGL. Please let me know if you are planning on going high when you arrive so I can call in the launch window. We generally launch from 8AM until around 2PM or until the wind picks up. As always, please check the website and Facebook for any last minute changes or cancellations before heading to Hartsel.
